Pre-K Adventure

What are some ways that someone your age could make money?

  • How about a lemonade stand?
  • a garage sale?
  • doing an extra job at home or for a neighbor?

Think of some new and interesting ways you can make money using a skill or talent that you have or that you are interested in. See if you can find a way to earn $1, or $5, or $10.  You decide, and then have fun and be creative!

Basic Adventure

Entrepreneurship is the process of starting a business. The entrepreneur develops a business model, acquires the human and other required resources, and is fully responsible for its success or failure.

What are some ways that you have made money in the past~

  • lemonade stand?
  • mowing lawns?
  • garage sales?
  • Brainstorm all of the ideas you can think of for someone your age to make money.

Think of some new and interesting ways you can make money using a skill or talent that you have or that you are interested in.  Entrepreneurs have a higher chance of being successful when they do something they love. Answer the following questions:

  • What do you enjoy doing?
  • If you could spend a day doing anything you wanted to, what would it be?

Take the answer to one of those questions and determine how you can take that thing you enjoy doing and create a business or a club.  After identifying a few things you would enjoy answer these questions about each:

  • how much time would each one take?
  • what supplies and equipment would you need?
  • what would need to happen for this to be successful?
  • how much would you expect to make?

Discuss with a parent the pros and cons of each option and how it would impact your life and your family.

Next draw your plan out in either words or a picture and describe your new endeavor to a parent or mentor.

Super Achiever Adventure

SUPERAchievers are ready to dive in and make a go of it by implementing one or more of the ideas they came up with. We recommend that you do them one at a time even if you decide to try a couple of them. There are many resources available online and in your community if you need help, so remember to ask those that you think might be able to help you have a successful, positive experience.
